I'm a newly married graphic design student in college. Purchased this software to aid in my studies and get some practical experience even before learning from instructors. Can't have been more pleased with it! I have since upgraded my hardware and purchased the Adobe Creative Suite for OS X, but am just as comfortable working in older versions.
For anyone interested in graphics, photoshop is absolutely essential for any project between print and the web. Illustrator is a designer's next best friend, great for logos, graphics, and working with type. GoLive and LiveMotion round off the Web aspect of this software bundle, not used in printing, but paramount for Web design. The Adobe Web Collection is an aspiring designer's best friend and an experienced designer's tool of choice.
Being a college student, I purchased this software through special academic pricing. What does that mean for you? Nothing. Each of the four applications is a full and complete version, identical in every way to the retail version.
